Larry Scaggs
1947-2004
Larry Gene Scaggs Sr., 56, of Maddox Trail, Grayson, passed away Thursday, Jan. 29, at his residence.
He was born Nov. 26, 1947, in Boyd County, the son of the late Robert and Clara Imogene Justice Scaggs. His wife, Betty Cassall Scaggs, also preceded him in death.
Larry was a laboratory technician with Kentucky Electric Steel for 35 years and a member of Steelworkers Local 181 of Coalton. He was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are his son and daughter-in-law, Larry Jr. and Betty Scaggs, of Grayson; and one sister and brother-in-law, Jan and Maurice Justice of Catlettsburg.
In addition to his parents and his wife, he was also preceded in death by one brother, Bobby Scaggs.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, Feb. 1, at 1 p.m. at Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson with Danny Watts and Ralph Hester officiating. Burial will be in the Scaggs Family Cemetery, Maddox Trail.
Friends may visit or call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson.
