Nell Slone Fleming Bush (1911-2007)

Nell Slone Fleming Bush, 95, of Dry Ridge, Grayson, Ky., went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Feb. 17, surrounded by her loving family in Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky.

She was born March 17, 1911, in Carter County, Ky., a daughter of the late John and Melvina Osborne Slone.

Mrs. Bush was preceded in death by two husbands, Forrest Fleming and Ercel Bush.

Mrs. Bush was a former employee of Selby Shoe Department Store and Ruperts Department Store in Grayson. 
She was a member of Eastern Star and a faithful member of Willard Church of Christ.

She is survived by her daughter, Patricia (Ronald) Ison of Grayson; two stepdaughters, Anna (Jim) Balch of Delaware, Ohio, 
and Ersie O’Hara of Lakeland, La.; five grandchildren, Todd (Sherri) Fleming of Mansfield, Ohio, Eric (Cyndi) Fleming of Maysville, Ky., 
Angela (Marty) Hall of Taylorsville, Ky., Lisa (Darrell) Seasor of Ashland and Beth (Ben) Littleton of Greenup, Ky.; 
four stepgrandchildren, Mandy (Dave) Dragatz of Lewis Center, Ohio, Wendy (Lee) Herron of Delaware, Ohio, 
Stephanie Moynihan of New Orleans and Ersilee (Bruce) Unangst of Gonzales, La.; and 19 great-grandchildren, 
Ashley, Jake, Corrine, Eriana, Cody, Chase, Tori, Jordon, Trinity, Carson, Lance, Jarred, Paige, Todd, Joshua, Tessie, Tommy, Brilee and Bently.

In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Jesse, George, Lewis and Tivis Slone; two sisters, 
Leticia Slone and Charlotte “Lottie” Fauson; a son, Harold Fleming; and a daughter-in-law, Barbara Fleming.

Funeral services for Mrs. Bush will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 21, at Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson by David Braun. 
She will be laid to rest in East Carter County Memory Gardens.

Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
