Kentucky GenWeb projectJoyce Kouns Visitation Tuesday - August 7th, 2007 Memorial Service Wednesday - August 8th, 2007 Interment Kouns Family Cemetery Born September 29, 1927 Died August 05, 2007 JOYCE KOUNS 1927-2007 Joyce Irene Smith Kouns, age 79, of Grayson, passed away Sunday in Ashland Community Hospice Center. Mrs. Kouns was born September 29, 1927, in Wolzerhampton, England, a daughter of the late Jack and Elizabeth Goode Smith. She was a loving housewife, mother and grandmother, attended the Reedville Christian-Baptist Church and was a member of the Church of England. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Charles, four daughters & sons-in-law; Helen (Wick) Greer, Frances (Joe) Greer, Dorathy (Pat) Bond and Claudia (Barry) Conlin, all of Grayson, two brothers; John Smith and James Smith , both of England, two sisters; Susan Auton and Ruby Cash, of England, nine grandchildren; Samantha, Neil, Andria, Courtney, Amber, Derek, Joshua, Tara and Holly and eight great-grandchildren; Kasey, Shelbi, Jarred, Alexis, Sarah, Jesten, Caidan and Conner. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her great-grandson, Justin Davis, one brother, Jeremy Smith and her step-father, Walter Leach. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, August 8th at 1:00 pm at Sparks Funeral Home. Bryan Whitt will officiate. Burial will be in the Kouns Family Cemetery on Fields Branch. Friends may call after 6:00 pm today (Tuesday) and after 9:00 am Wednesday at Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson.
