Kentucky GenWeb projectOBIT - Lottie Laura Smith Carroll, 87, of Crane Creek, died Tuesday at her home. Mrs. Carroll was born June 12, 1913, in Crane Creek, a daughter of the late James Thomas and Mary Alice Sweargenen Smith. She was a member of Crane Creek Missionary, Baptist Church. Her husband, Kenneth Edward Carroll Sr., died in 1986. Surviving are two daughters, Donna Sue Riffe of Grayson and Sharon Buyalos of Charlotte, N. C.; two sons, James Archie Carroll of Bedford, Va., and Kenneth Carroll Jr. of Raceland; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Crane Creek Missionary Baptist Church by Glenn Stephenson and Gordon Burgess. Burial will be in Smith-Claxon Cemetery in Crane Creek.
