THE CHRONICLE TELEGRAM (Elyria, Ohio) Wednesday, October 26, 1977 Mrs. Clara Dove (nee Songer), 69, of 407 Southern Blvd., Warren, Ohio, died yesterday morning of an apparent heart attack while visiting at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Sanford (Christine) Remy, 35438 Chestnut Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville. She had been ill one year. Mrs. Dove was born was born Nov. 6, 1907, in Olive Hill, Ky., and was a Warren resident 30 years. She was employed by Packard Electric Company, Warren, as an assembler for 27 years, retiring in 1975. She attended the Warren Nazarene Church, and was a member of UAW Union Local 717. Survivors, in addition to Mrs. Remy, are a daughter, Mrs. Daniel (Geraldine) Davies of Phoenix, Ariz.; a son, James Dove of North Eaton; 19 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Orville and Vernon Songer, both of Elyria; Arnold Songer of Ashland, Ky.; three sisters, Mrs. George Anson of Ashland, Ky., Mrs. Evelyn Large, Coal Grove, Ohio, and Mrs. Pauline Smith of Cincinnati; and one stepsister, Mrs. Edward Brown of Ashland, Ky. She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew, in April, 1941; one brother, Paul Songer, in August, 1967, and one great-grandchild, Michele Lucas, on Feb. 6, 1968. Friends may call at the Bogner Funeral Home, North Ridgeville, today from 7 to 9 p.m., and tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. in the funeral home, with the Rev. Maurice J. Mosley, pastor of College Heights Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Brookdale Cemetery.
