Kentucky GenWeb projectNola Skaggs 1940-2003 Nola Mae Sparks Skaggs, 63, of 1011 Coal Creek Road, Martha, Ky., died Dec. 5, 2003, in King's Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Ky. Mrs. Skaggs was born June 11, 1940, in Relief, Ky., a daughter of the late Ellis and Emma Keaton Sparks. She was a housewife and was a member of Enterprise Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband, Morgan Skaggs; two daughters, Kay (Robert) Ison and Jennifer (Mark) Hardin, both of Louisa, Ky.; two sons, Gary (LaWanda) Skaggs and Richie (Pam) Skaggs, both of Martha; two sisters, Lola (J.K.) Patrick of Blaine and Cora (Wilbur) Skaggs of Martha; two brothers, Jimmy Sparks of Martha and J.R. (Roberta) Sparks of Hebron, Ind.; and four grandchildren, Travis Ison, Jessica Skaggs, James Skaggs and Markus Hardin. The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 8, 2003, at Flat Gap Baptist Church by Elders Paul E. Keaton and Elmer Burchwell. Burial will be in Arnold Skaggs Family Cemetery in Martha. Friends may call from 4 to 9 tonight at Young Funeral Home Chapel in Louisa.
