Kentucky GenWeb projectDELLA STAMPER Portsmouth Times Monday, February 1, 1974 Services for Della Stamper, 78 of 2022 Sixth St., were conducted today by Rev. E. H. Fisher. Stamper, a native of Carter County, Ky., died at his home Saturday morning. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church and it's men's Bible Class. He was a retired employee of the Detroit Steel corp., an Army veteran of World War I, a member ofthe American Legion, the 40 and 8 and the Senior Citizens Club. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mable. surviving are his second wife, Rose Cox Ford Stamper; four stepsons and two stepdaughters; three brothers, Everett Stamper and Wheeler Stamper, both of Olive Hill, Ky., and Sheldon of Louisville, Ky.,; a sister, Mrs. Cora Trisher, 1012 11th St., and 20 stepgrandchildren. Interment was at the Memorial Burial Park with graveside services conducted by the James Dickey Post American Legion. Arrangements were under the direction of Emrick-Scott Funeral Home.
