JESSE STAMPER DIES FOLLOWING EXTENDED ILLNESS Ashland, Ky. Daily Independent Saturday Evening, September 28, 1963 OLIVE HILL - Jesse Stamper, 69, of Olive Hill, died late Friday at St. Claire Hospital in Morehead following a long illness. Mr. Stamper was born in Carter County, Oct. 23, 1893, a son of the late Amoa and Abba Gail Bucler Stamper. He was a former employee of the Olive Hill Manufacturing Co. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Grace Brinegar Stamper; three sons, James Stamper of Fairborn, O.; Leonard Stamper of New York, and Marvin Stamper of Muncey, Ind.; three daughters, Miss Arlie Stamper and Mrs. Olea Mae Wyrick, both of Indianapolis, and Mrs. Dixie Turpin of San Diego; four brothers, Granville Stamper of South Carolina, Arthur Stamper of Detroit, Walter Stamper of Dayton, and Ralph Stamper of Vanceburg, Ky.; five sisters, Mrs. Anna Belle Suttler of Cincinnati, Mrs. Faye Riptoe and Mrs. Stella Flagg, both of Dayton, Mrs. Dolly Hawthorne of South Portsmouth, O.; and Mrs. Mary July of Columbus, and seven grandchildren. The funeral was conducted at 1 p.m. Monday at the Stucky, Back & Cline Funeral Home in Olive Hill. Burial will be in the Garvin Ridge Cemetery.
