Kentucky GenWeb projectWalter M. Tackett, age 61 yrs., of Elyria Twp., died Sat., Mar. 10, 2007 at his home. He was born Apr. 21, 1945 in Catlettsburg, KY. He was employed over 30 yrs. by Ford Motor Co., retiring in 2000. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Freda (nee Cox); 1 daughter, Tina (Eric) Kalman of Homerville; 2 sons; David (Rickia) Tackett of Lorain, and Brian (Kim) Tackett of Sheffield; 8 Grandchildren;1 brother, Donald (Emily) Tackett of Ashland, KY; 4 sisters: Phyllis Evans of Vermilion; Judy (Leonard) Pilarsh of Oberlin; Debra Santana of Lorain; and Pamela Fitzpatrick of Fremont. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter M. and Alpha Peck (nee Yates) Tackett. Friends will be received Wednesday from 6 PM until time of parlor service at 7 PM at the Misencik Funeral Home, 36363 Detroit Rd., Avon, with Pastor Steve Pilarsh, officiating. Interment private. In Lieu of flowers, family asks contributions be made to New Life Hospice or the American Cancer Society
