Kentucky GenWeb projectTHE HERALD Grayson, Ky., Friday, August 1, 1902 DEATH Of a Highly Respected Citizen On Thursday of last week, the death of James A. Vincent occurred at his home near Grayson. He had been in bad health for some time and his death had been expected. Mr. Vincent was not a native born Kentuckian. He was born in Greenbrier, Va., on the 29th day of November, 1835, and came to this state over half a century ago when he was a boy. On Nov. 6th, 1870 he was married to Susan R. Richards, from which union were born five children, four boys and a girl. In 1871, one year after his marriage he confessed the Savior and was baptized by J. R. Botts, becoming a member of the Christian church. Since that time he has been a constant worker for good and before death came expressed a satisfaction of meeting his Savior. The community has lost a valued citizen, but the greater loss is upon the family for whom the Herald extends sympathy.
