Kentucky GenWeb projectTHE HARFORD COURANT Hartford, Connecticut January 17, 1940 Olive Hill, Ky., Jan. 16—(AP)—Marie Van Cautern Viviani, 83, grand opera soprano in the United States and abroad years ago, died at the home of her niece. Mrs. Frank Prather, near here yesterday. Born in France, Mrs. Viviani was twice widowed. Her first husband was Louis Van Cautern and her second husband Louis Viviani of New York, who also was a singer and associated with the Metropolitan Opera Company.
