Brick Yard Workers
The photo is dated December 1917, Olive Hill, KY. I was told it was taken at the Olive Hill Brickyard.
Workers include Millard Porter, Jasper Porter and Everett Porter
The original belonged to Geneva (Porter) Erwin. The 3 Porter's in the picture are all sons of Alexander F. Porter.
The foreman standing on the right has been identified as George Fouch (who married Pearl Porter, daughter of Rev. Steve Porter and wife Emily Bumgardner)
He was identified by his granddaughter Shirley Toyra.
"I received an email from Barb Turner of Cincinatti. She thinks the 4th man from the left in the back row (next to Everett Porter)
is her grandfather Henry Brown. Barb has never before seen a picture of her grandfather who would be 39 years old in this picture.
She compared it to a picture of her dad Richard Harvey Brown taken when he was 29. She says they look a lot alike and are standing alike."
Also, the man standing at the far right is George Fouch, the foreman. We have verified this with his granddaughter.
