This was orginally identified as a photo of John W. Armstrong,
but was re-indentified following Ronald Brown's research.
Ronald Brown wrote:
"John W. Armstrong was born 1810. But I found the attached newspaper article.
It's the same picture and has this John Armstrong's birth date as 1860.
Even though the story puts his birthdate as October 3, 1860, they were concerned about his age when running for Sheriff,
and mention that it's no concern, so it makes sense that they would make him four years younger.
Obviously the photo must be Jonathan M. Armstrong."
