I downloaded this photo from another site. I tried to contact the person who submitted the photo but never got a response.

It is identified as the son's of John 'Jack' and Jennie Kilgore Bays of Scott County, Virginia and later Greenup and Carter County's, Kentucky.
They are left to right Samuel Logan, James and Charles William Bays.

They were submitted by Chris Gray to ANCIENT FACES.

Samuel Logan Bays was a prominent figure in Carter County. He was first married to Lucinda Jane Counts and after her death he remarried Georgia Thompson. His first wife and an infant child are buried at Pleasant Valley and he and his second wife are buried in the Logan Bays Cemetery.

I'm not sure when the photo was made but Samuel was born in 1833 so I would guess the late 1850's or early 1860's.

He married (2) LUSINDA JANE COUNTS 31 January 1856, daughter of PHILLIP COUNTS and JULIA GOSE. She was born 7 August 1839 in Russell Co., VA, and died 26 October 1873 in Carter Co., KY. He married (3) GEORGIA THOMPSON 29 September 1874 in KY, daughter of THOMPSON. She was born 2 October 1842 in Carter Co. KY, and died 7 October 1915 in "Montaine" Grayson, KY.

Samuel Logan Bays - married a second time- a school teacher, Georgia Thompson. She died Oct 7, 1915.
