Hazel Maude Blankenship of Grayson, Ky., circa 1918
Hazel was the daughter of Robert & Belle Hogsten Blankenship, born 2 Sep 1899. She was active in the affairs of the Methodist Church; With her sister, Ercelle Blankenship, and Anna Giles, she formed the “Grayson Evangelistic Trio” and sang at revivals throughout WV in the 20’s. She and Ercelle later recorded as “The Blue Ridge Mountain Singers” on the Brunswick label.
In 1931, married William H. Keyser, Jr. of Virginia, an attorney who then practiced in Ashland, KY..
She is buried in Huntington, WV.
