Lawrence Edward Bowling
"Mr. Bowling was from Globe, Ky. The photo of him as a young man is from the 1938 "Chimes", the Berea College yearbook and is a composite of three pieces of info found there."
These three photos were taken shortly after I met him at Berea, in 1983. They are from a hike he and I took to the "Pinnacle" in the Berea College forest. Dr. Bowling was retired and in his 70s at that time."

"Dr. Lawrence Edward Bowling is very much alive and well at the ripe old age of 90. This past weekend, I spoke with Lawrence and his wife Ethel. She is Ethel (Robinson) McClave Bowling. We had our annual Robinson Reunion July 15th, in Elliottville and they came. He was our oldest person attending. Ethel's father, Marion Francis Robinson, and my husband's grandfather, William "Billy" Robinson were brothers. Ethel is in the photo above on the right with Dr. Bowling"
