Wilma was born on 31 October 1932 in Triplett, Morehead, Rowan Co., Kentucky.

Wilma was the daughter of George Washington Brown and Sadie Jane Clark.

Wilma married Bobby Lee Hadwin on 13 April 1955 in South Portsmouth, Greenup Co., Kentucky.
