"Here's a picture of Sherman Burton, son of Caleb Burton and Elizabeth Burchett. He died young, and this picture was owned by my great grandmother Louisa Helen (Burton) Mosier (1869-1910) who was apparently his half-sister (through Caleb's first wife, Susan Harper).
If anyone has any information about Helen, please let me know, because the only proof I have so far that she was Caleb & Susan's daughter (other than the fact that this picture was passed down through the family) is because her surname was Burton, but she was raised by Susan's parents, David M. Harper and Cynthia (Salmons) Harper. Caleb remarried in 1869, and might have asked the Harpers to raise Susan's last baby."
