Lina (Carroll) Tackett was my grandfather's sister.

Lina Gustel (Carroll) Tackett
 
Lina was born 22 Mar 1895 to William "Bill" Madison Carroll & Charlotta "Lottie" Gustel (McDaniel) Carroll of Carter County, Kentucky.
 
Lina married William Robert Tackett (1878-1945), the son of William Sanford Tackett & Rebecca Jane (Bryant) Tackett. Lina & Robert had ten children.
 
Lina's Paternal Grandparents: George Washington Carroll (1850-1920) & Martha E. Dean (1850-Unknown). 
Note: Martha is listed in the 1910 census as residing in Maddox, Carter County, Kentucky and when George died in 1920, 
he was listed as "married" instead of "widowed." 
 
Lina's Maternal Grandparents: John McDaniel (1828-1920) & Sarah Jane Conley (1836-1876). 
 
Two of Lina's daughters have identified her middle name as "Gustel." In addition, oral history from Lottie’s granddaughter, June (Carroll) Fultz, 
stated she recalls hearing Lottie referred to as “Lottie Gustel.” Although the precise spelling that Lina & Lottie used is currently unknown, 
the German and Latin spelling of this name is “Gustel.” This photograph was taken 1950 in Olive Hill, Carter County, Kentucky. Lina's daughter,
