John Franklin Haney b. Mar 28, 1861 Carter, KY d. Dec 3, 1913 was the son of John and Elizabeth (Sutton) Haney.
John Sr. was the son of William and Sarah (Peston) Haney from Bedford County, Virginia.
Mary Ellen (Brainard) Haney, born Jul 8, 1861 at Hanging Rock, Lawrence, Ohio, died Aug. 8, 1946.
They settled on Sutton Branch by Gesling, Ky They are all buried at the Plummer Cemetery , Carter County, KY.
John and Mary were married on Dec 6, 1883 in Carter, KY.
John Franklin and Mary Ellen are my Great Grandparents, they had my grandfather Bill Haney who had my father Bill Haney Jr.
Bill Haney Sr. was the Jailer for Carter County 1930 to 1940.
This a photo of my great grandfather John Franklin Haney, he was a teacher at Rock Springs School, Carter Co.
He is 3rd row up and 3rd from the left with a moustache.
Ollie Haney is the girl in white on the lower left.
