Alexander Hanner, Jr. and John Hanner, tintype circa 1865

Pictured are the submitter's gg-grandfather Alexander Hanner, Jr. (left) and his brother John Hanner (right).  Their g-grandfather William Hannah, and grandfather, Robert Hannah arrived in Greenup Co. KY before 1806.  The early marriage of Alexander Sr., son of Robert Hannah, and his marriage to the grandaughter of brother William placed these boys in close family relationships.

"I came across submitted pictures of my great grandfather,John Hanner, on the rootsweb.com website. One of his sons, Carl Clinton Hanner (b Nov 1887,Dallas TX; died 1967, Ashland Ky, 2nd marriage to Almeade Moore) was my grandfather.) Their sons, Carl Hanner Jr ( 1921-1976?), my father-Jesse Lloyd Hanner ( 1926-1989), and Albert Hanner lived in Dayton Ohio most of their adult lives. I have attached jpg file photos of the same John Hanner ( 1842-1923?) and his wife Lucinda (nee Anglin) Hanner (died 1935?), both residents of Oldtown, Ky and buried in Crane Creek Cemetery near Oldtown. I do not know the dates but suspect they are not long after the civil war as he was in the 22nd Ky inf. with brother Alexander and brother or cousin James. One anecdote is that when the family had been living in Texas ( King Ranch I have always been told). They moved back to Ky with my grandfather Carl Clinton Hanner then 4 years old ( 1891-1892) rode on mule most of the trip."
