Cowen Jessee
Cowen Jessee, and his wife, Nancy Harris. "Photo is circa early 1900's. I would assume the location to be in the Pleasant Valley area.
Cowen Jessee was born March 07, 1846 and died October 14, 1920. His parents were Archable Jessee and Elanor Smyth. He is buried in Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Grayson.
Nancy Harris was born July 18, 1850 and died April 17, 1928. Her parents were James A. Harris and Lucretia Francis Newman. She is also buried in Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Grayson.
They were married on August 25, 1867. Cowen served in Co. D of the 40th Kentucky Volunteer Mounted Infantry (Union) during the Civil War.
