Photos of John E. Kibbey and Lucy Mary (Morris) Kibbey

The following photos were copied from originals in the collection of Delphia Kibbey Sullivan.
They are of John and Lucy Mary (Morris) Kibbey of Charlotte Furnace (Carter Co.).

John Kibbey, the son of Jacob and Malinda (Everman) Kibbey of Carter Co., was born Nov. 1835 and died ca. 1900-1910 in Carter Co.

His wife, Lucy Mary (Morris) Kibbey, the daughter of John and Rebecca (Coburn) Morris, was born 2 May 1844 in Floyd Co., Ky.,
and died 17 April 1935 in Carter Co.

The first two photos are believed to have been taken at the home of John's father, Jacob Kibbey, at Huffman's Ford, Tygart Creek Rd., near Iron Hill.
The last photo, according to Delphia Kibbey Sullivan, granddaughter of John and Lucy, is either of John and Lucy or possibly their son Wesley and his wife.
The resemblance between all three couples is significant which leads me to think the third photo might have been a wedding photo of John and Lucy.
They were married Nov. 4, 1858 in Carter Co.

After the untimely death of her mother, Delphia (Kibbey) Sullivan was raised from the age of seven by her grandmother Lucy.
John & Lucy Kibbey are buried in the Kibbey cemetery on a hill just above their old homeplace at Charlotte Furnace, Carter Co.
