James Knox PolkLyon, was born the son of Jessee Lyon and Mary Wellman Lyon on 1 May 1847 in North Carolina.
He died 26 April 1918.
James married Sarah Catherine Mauk about 1853. She was the daughter of Joseph Mauk and Sarah "Sally" Holbrook. She died about 1892.
