Berha Elizabeth Madden
Bertha Elizabeth Madden, daughter of David Otho Madden and Sarah Ann Counts, was born in Carter County, Kentucky on July 12, 1882. She married John Wilson Gillean in Waxahachie, Ellis County, Texas. Bertha died on Friday, February 16, 1906 at about 2:20 AM. Her husband John Wilson Gillean died 10 months later on December 4, 1906. They had one son, Marvin Gillean, who was just a few months old at the time of their death. He was raised by his grandparents, David and Sarah Madden.
