David Otho Madden
David Otho Madden was born August 18, 1849 in Carter County, Kentucky. He was the son of Matthew Madden and Sophia Estill. David died August 11, 1932 in Waxahachie, Ellis County, Texas. His name was probably taken from his mothers father, David Estill, and her brother, Otho Estill. This tintype was made about 1880-85 according to his daughter, Ida (Madden) Tucker.

Written on the reverse: "Taken April 1, 1905, D. O. Madden and son G. W. Madden. Papa's age 56 on Aug 18 and G. W.'s age 26 on March 12. My father and brother. Written by Ida Tucker"
Last known photo of David Otho Madden and his wife Sarah Ann Counts. Sarah was also born in Carter County, Kentucky and died in Ellis County, Texas. This photo was made in 1930. Sarah Ann died the following year and David Otho died in 1932.

Otho was a nephew of my great grandfather David Otho Madden who moved to Ellis County, Texas.
