James M. Marshall. James was born July 4, 1879 in Elliott Co., KY. He died February 4, 1918 in Willard Co., KY as a result of a coal mining accident. He was survived by his wife, Missouri Clementine Porter Marshall, and eight children. Missouri was the first child of Boney M. Porter and Laura Belle (Johnson) Porter. James and Missouri lived in Boyd Co., KY during the first two years of their marriage and then they moved to Willard.
