Hughie Elihue McDavid and Rosie Oney, 1927

Pictured is Hughie Elihue McDavid and Rosie Oney McDavid. 
Hughie was the son of Henry H. and Sarah Ellen Kennedy McDavid. 
Hughie was born 20 Jul 1905 near Willard, Ky. and died 18 May 1960. 
He was the grandson of Daniel and Elizabeth Sturgill McDavid
and the great-grandson of George and Mary Blevins McDavid and Solomon and Rebecca Tompkins Sturgill. 

Hughie's maternal grandparents were Elihue and Mary Lee Kennedy. 
He was also the great-grandson of Milton and Ellender Boggs Kennedy. 
Hughie married Rosie on 4 Sep 1926 Carter Co.  Rosie was born 11 May 1906 in Bruin, Ky and died 29 Sep 1969. 

Rosie was the daughter of Will and Sarah Maggard Oney.

Hughie was a coal miner, worked in the steel mills, farmer, grocery store proprietor, boilermaker and owned several shares in the Union Boilers. 
Hughie also built the Sunoco Gasoline station in Grayson. 
Hughie was a United Baptist preacher, ordained June 1946.

Hughie and Rosie were the parents of:
Carl Wayne,
Harold Gene,
Chester,
David,
Mary "Bargie" Parsons,
Susie Morris, and
Bobbie Burgess.
