Cline McGinnis

Cline McGinnis born June 19, 1925 died in the service of his country August 19, 1945. He was the son of George (Bud)McGinnis and Etta Jordan . Cline was a medic during the war and went in on D-Day to tend to the wounded and dieing. The ghastly scenes that he witnessed were far removed from the hollows of Brushy Creek in Carter. In a strange twist, Clines death was not a result of gunshot or shrapnel. He contacted a rare kidney disease and died in a Berlin Army Hospital. His is one of the names enshrined on the Doughboy’s monument at the Grayson Courthouse.
