This picture was taken circa 1949 - 1950 in Lyra, Ohio. Charles Parsons and his family at that time lived in Wheelersburg, Ohio where he owned a Garage. He was also a Primitive Baptist Minister. Pictured left to right - Daughters, Bonnie Jeanne Parsons, born 9/28/1938 and Shirley Louise Parsons, born 2/`14/1940; Evelyn T. Charles Sanford Parsons was born in Elliott, Co., Ky. on November 20, 1890 and died on June 13, 1980. He is buried in Vernon Cemetery, Porter Twp., Scioto County, Ohio with two of his wives. His first wife was Ella (Ellen) Welsh Parsons, and his second wife, Evelyn T. Burton Parsons, who is pictured here taught school in Olive Hill, Ky. before she married Charlie Parsons).
As far as I can find, he was an only child. I'm pretty sure his father, Huston died on February 15,1891 and is buried in Mauk Cemetery along with Sarah Debord Parsons who died on May 28, 1899.
Family reunion, circa 1953, Debord, I think, in Elliott Co. , Ky. My Great Aunt Minnie (3rd from left, back row and daughter of Solomon Debord and Mary Francis Mauk) and Doc Kegley, her second husband, (4th. from the left) are in the picture. This is what makes me think it might be a Debord Reunion.
My father Charles (Charlie) Sanford Parsons is (2nd. from the left, on the front row.). Charlie is the son of Huston S. Parsons and Sarah E. Debord.) "I would appreciate any information on who the other people in the picture might be."
Family reunion, circa 1953, Debord, I think, in Elliott Co. , Ky.. Charles "Charlie" Sanford Parsons is on the right hand side.
Charles's mother, Sarah E. (Ellen) Debord married Meredith Waddell after Huston died. Charles S. Parsons is listed as a Stepson on the 1900 census of Elliott Co. , Sinking Precinct, Family number 188.
Charles's father, Huston Parsons, is shown on the 1880 Census, Elliott Co., Moccasin, Page #9 and Line # 19 as being the son of John Parsons and Hannah Ann Whitt.
Charles's mother Sarah E. Debord is shown on the 1880 census as being the daughter of Solomon Debord and Mary Francis Mauk. These two families lived very close to each other during that time. Parsons being family number 57 and Debords being family number 60 on the 1880 Census.
