James Holman Rice and Julia Green Rice right after marriage, approximately 1873. He was 36 and she was 18 or 19. He was born June 5, 1837 at Willard, KY. He was the son of Nelson T. and America Rice, natives of Bath Co. He was married to Julia Green in Carter Co. April 10, 1873. They had 9 children.
