James Paul Rice
This photo was taken in 1935, shortly before his death, and is of James Paul Rice and his wife Frances (Finney) Rice (photo under "Finney"). The Rice family, from Grayson, lived in Stevens Pottery, Ga. from May 1934 until shortly after Paul's death in September 1935. Mr. Alf Rice worked at the General Refractories brick yard in Stevens Pottery.James Paul Rice was the adopted son of Alfred Franklin Rice and Orba Frances (Bays) Rice. He was 17 years old when he was killed by lightening on September 23, 1935, in Stevens Pottery Georgia. He is buried at Bays Cemetery. Greg Leverett is Paul's grandson.
"We have been trying, without any luck so far, to find the names of his biological parents. Paul's father's last name may have been Tussy or Tussey, and one source lists his father as Alfred G. Rice. Any help would be greatly appreciated."
"In the photo, Paul on the right. We believe this was taken in Kentucky but we aren't sure. "

David Tucker notes that..
"The Georgia DC might give information on his birth parents but probably just shows his adopted parents, might be worth a try.
