Elijah was the son of James Richards and Rebecca Rogers. Mary Ann was the daughter of Sanders Crawford and Lavinia Warnock. Elijah and Mary Ann went to Ottawa Co., KS. Both died young leaving their children as orphans. The pictures were taken about 1870 not long before they died.
