"James Castner Robinson, born 18 February, 1823 in Floyd Co., KY, a son of Ezekiel and Sabra Castner.
The Robinson family were already settled in Carter County at the time of the county's first tax list in 1839. James married Easter "Hettie" Leadingham [born 25 February, 1821 in Pike Co., KY, a daughter of Peter Leadingham and Sally Hamilton. James and Hettie had three children: America Robinson; Nancy Jane Robinson [who married George Wells]; and William Ezekiel Robinson (1856-1920)--who served as Carter County Superintendent. Hettie (Leadingham) Robinson died on 25 February, 1884. James outlived her by 25 years until his death on 28 December, 1909 at age 86. James and Hettie were buried in the Leadingham Cemetery in the Little Fork Creek area. James was my 3rd great-grandfather"
