Born 17 December 1817 in Fleming Co., Kentucky, son of Edward Roe  Sr. and Ellender Littleton; died 23 August 1878 Lewis Co., Kentucky;  buried Stone Cemetery, Lewis Co., Kentucky.  Isom was married 25 March 1841 Carter Co., Kentucky to Ellen (Nellie) Harrison Gilbert daughter of John B. Gilbert and Sarah (Sally) Tabor.  Ellen Gilbert was born 18 October 1821 in Russell Co., Virginia and died 26 August 1878  Lewis Co., Kentucky, buried in Stone Cemetery.  Isom and Ellen died of  fever (Typhoid?)  three days apart.
