Henry Elliott Sexton was born 19 Oct 1870 died 25 Jun 1933, the son of William Harvey Sexton and Sythia Jane Osborne.  He married 6 Jun 1894, Viola McGinnis, born 14 Apr 1874 died 8 Mar 1939, the daughter of William Jasper McGinnis and Matilda McCleese (pictured herein).

The children of Henry and Viola (left to right) James, Ben, Myrtle, Joe, Reuben, Albert, Andrew, Sherman, James Mccormick (son of deceased daughter Ollie, he was raised by Henry and Viola).  Absent:  daughter Bess and son Ralph who died at the age of 19.

1.  James Harrison Sexton b. 9 Nov 1894 d. 25 Sep 1960 m. Hazie Bell Williams b. 18 Feb 1901 d. 23 Apr 1996.  (When she died, Hazie was living in the house that was originally the home of William Jasper and Matilda McCleese McGinnis at Smith Creek).

2.  Benjamin Franklin Sexton b. 27 Nov 1896 m. 16 Apr 1918 Virgie Jordan d/o James Jordan and Mary Lawhorn.

3.  Bessie Idora Sexton b. 27 mar 1899 m. 5 Sep 1915 William Lee "Will" Buckler b. 1894, the s/o Robert and Martia Buckler.

4.  Myrtle Sexton b. 27 Aug 1900 d. 29 Aug 1992 m. Charles D. Phillips.

5.  Ollie Sexton b. 8 Feb 1902 d. 29 Apr 1920 m. 26 mar 1918 Elby McCormick b. 1897, the s/o John D. McCormick and Jennie Parker.

6.  Joseph Sexton b. 1 Oct 1903 m. 1st. Hazel Snyder m. 2nd Mildred ?

7.  Ralph Sexton b. 26 Aug 1905 d. 2 May 1924.  Ralph died after having been kicked by a horse.

8.  Matilda Sexton b. 9 Jul 1907 d. 16 Jul 1907.

9.  Reuben Ellis Sexton, (named after his grandfather, Reuben McGinnis, pictured herein above) b. 12 Jul 1908 d. 28 Dec 1980 m. Irene Montgomery b. 3 Jul 1910, the d/o Robert Montgomery and Martha Stephens.  For nearly 30 years, Reuben and Irene managed Baker's Department Store in Grayson.  Sadly, the old Baker's Dept. Store Building burned to the ground in 1997.

10.  William Albert Sexton, b. 29 may 1911 d. 16 Jan 1991 m. 9 Jun 1932 Florence Louise Burgess b. 17 Jun 1912, d/o George Wesley Burgess and Pearl Preston.

11.  Andrew Jackson Sexton b. 29 May 1913 d. Mar 1992, m. 1st Maggie Scott, m. 2nd Dottie ?

12.  Walter Sexton b. 21 Aug 1915 d. 4 Apr 1983 m. 1st. Louise Green, m. 2nd Iola Stamper. Walter was an engineer for the Penn-Central Railroad for 34 years.
