Gilbert Stephens, mail carrier.
Photo was in the collection of Walter and Emma Davis Huffman of Iron Hill in Carter County
and is believed to be circa early 1900's.
"I was so happy this morning when I received an email from the granddaughter of Gilbert Stephens who was the mail
carrier in the photo I sent in who was so excited to see the photo of him online. Her grandparents home had burned and they had very few
photos of him so I was more than happy to mail out to her the original that I had copied from old negatives belonging to Emma Huffman."
