Thomas Jefferson "Jeff" Wilcox was born on 20 May, 1859 in Pike Co., KY, a son of Isaiah and Sarah Jane "Sallie" Wilcox.
The Wilcox family moved to Carter Co., KY in the early 1860s, where they settled in the Rosedale area.
Thomas Jefferson Wilcox married first Alice Hunter, and they had one son, Robert Lincoln Wilcox (1885-1976).
Alice (Hunter) Wilcox died in the early 1900s.
Thomas Jefferson Wilcox married secondly, Mary James (1872-1938), and they had no children.
In his later years, Thomas Jefferson Wilcox made his home with his niece, Florence (Wilcox) McDavid, of Willard, KY.
He died there on 14 January, 1950 at the age of 90 years.
Isaiah Wilcox (1796-1870), the father of Thomas Jefferson Wilcox, was a son of Samuel and Anna (Jordan) Wilcox
and a grandson of John and Sarah (Boone) Wilcox [a sister of the pioneer, Daniel Boone].
This father and son, Isaiah Wilcox and Thomas Jefferson Wilcox, lived during the terms of our first 33 presidents.
Isaiah Wilcox, was born during the presidency of George Washington, and his son, Thomas Jefferson Wilcox,
died when Harry Truman was in the White House."
