Pictured is Floyd Milford Wilson and Nora Mae Stamper.  This picture was taken on their wedding day, March 23, 1917, at the home of the bride’s parents.  Shadrack "Shade" Benton Stamper and Eunice Dell Everman.

Floyd Milford Wilson born July 05, 1895, Clifty Creek Area of Carter County.  He was the son of Henry Wilson and Sidney Ellen Tackett.  Floyd and Nora were the owners and operators of Floyd Wilson and Son’s General Store at Gregoryville, Kentucky.  Floyd's son Carl Wilson was made a partner of the store and the two ran the business until Floyd's death in 1951; Carl then operated the store.  Floyd Wilson and Son General Merchandise remained in the community until the late 1960's.  The property was purchased by the state of Kentucky for the Interstate Road System.

Every Sunday the family would gather at Nora and Floyd Wilson’s have dinner and spend the afternoon being together talking and having fun.
