This photo was taken on RailRoad Street. Not certain of those in the photo,
but we can see Garvin's Grocery, MarcaMae Shop and Ellison's Restaurant in the back ground.

There must have been a celebration going on, note the flags on the building, and I think it might have been the early 1960's,
maybe about the time of the centennial.

"I can identify the man standing by the window of the MarcaMae shop. He was my Step Father, John Louie Sammons.
He was Police Chief of Olive Hill at one time, then later Sheriff of Carter Co., then Jailer until his death in 1989."
