"This is a photo of the Old Olive Hill High School taken about 1946-47. It was made into a postcard, note the large wall in the bottom left hand corner. I was told that the people of the town used it to post info about troops that were serving in WWII. It was used to keep people up to date on where they were and how they were."

"Here is an upublished photo of the Olive Hill High School taken about 1937 or so.
Note that in the left corner of the picture someone has made a OHHS out of stones.
I have also been told that the hill was not mowed down in the early years and it looks like the grass is very high in this photo.
This photo also shows the orginal steps up the hill that were all made of native stone and mortor."
