Situated on the northwest corner of Sixth and Liberty, this church was constructed 1883-84 by architect J. Rosenplanter, Clarksville, TN, and Robert Mills, Contractor. The first service was held August 17, 1884, consecrated November 23, 1890 by Bishop T. U. Dudley, Emma Glass Gaither Parish House was built 1906. A tornado destroyed the tower on May 12, 1978, but was rebuilt in June 1979 and dedicated November 4, 1979.
