PRINCETON, Ky. - Services for Amos Banister, 81, Cadiz, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Goodwin Funeral Home, with Jerry Turner officiating.
Burial will be in Siloam Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 4 this afternoon.
He died at 7 p.m. Sunday at Jennie Stuart Medical Center of natural causes.
A native of Trigg County, he was born Sept. 26, 1917, the son of the late John Wesley and Bertha Louis Sanders Banister. He was a farmer and carpenter and a member of the Bethesda United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mamie Faughn Banister; a son, William Amos, Princeton; a daughter, Rita Faye Banister, Hopkinsville; a brother, James Albert Banister, Wichita, Kan.; four grandchildren, four greatgrandchildren and one step greatgrandson.
