April 30, 1999- Pennyrile DeathsBelle Maynard Bell, 88, Trenton, died at. 3 p.m. Thursday at Jennie Stuart Medical Center following a long illness.Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Trenton United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Larry Busch and John R. Christian officiating. Burial will be in Edge-wood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 until 9 tonight at Maddux Funeral Home, Pembroke.A native of Trenton, she was born Jan. 23, 1911, the daughter of the late Henry W. and Belle Mimms Maynard. She was a homemaker and a member of the Trenton United Methodist Church where she was a member of the United Methodist Women. Her husband, Parker D. Bell, died in 1976.Survivors include a son, Henry Bell, Baton Rouge, La.; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.Memorials may be made to the Trenton United Methodist

Died In AsylumWas a Confederate Soldier And Very Interesting Character
Rev. Frank N. Bell, of Canton, died in Nashville a few days ago, where he
had been confined in an asylum for several months. Rev. Bell was a most
interesting character and was well known in this city. He was a native of
Virginia and served in the Confederate army during the Civil war. He was
about 75 years old.

ELKTON, Ky. -- Dr Henry Roush Bell Jr.,
59, a long-time practicing physician
in Elkton, died at 3 a.m. Saturday, Feb.
12, 2000, at Good Samaritan Hospital,
Lexington.He was in Lexington attending a medical meeting.
Services were at 1 this afternoon at the Petrie
Memorial United Methodist Church, with the Rev.
John Reilly officiating. Burial was in Glenwood
Cemetery.A native of Todd County, he was born Sept. 8,
1940, the son of the late Henry R. Bell Sr. and
Kathleen Street Bell. He was a physician with St.
Thomas Medical Service, Elkton. He served as
vice speaker of the Kentucky Academy of Family
Physicians and was a former Kentucky Medical
Association trustee. In addition, he was a former
president of the Pennyrile Medical Society and a
former president of the Jennie Stuart Medical
Center Medical Staff.He was a Vietnam Army veteran, having served
with a field hospital unit and was a recipient of the
Bronze Star. He served on the board of the Elkton
Bank and Trust Co., was a member of the Elkton
Rotary Club and was a Paul Harris Fellow. He
was a member of the Petrie Memorial United
Methodist Church where he had taught an adult
Sunday school class for many years.Survivors include his wife, Glenda Bell; a son,
Henry R. ‘'Scooter'' Bell III, Philadelphia, Pa.; a
daughter, Dorothy ‘'Dottie'' Bowden Bell, Atlanta,
Ga.; a brother, Morton Bell, Louisville; three
sisters, Frances Schroeder, Independence, Mo.,
Sarah ‘'Sally'' Dunn, Elkton and Martha Young,
Lexington.Memorials may be made to the Petrie Memorial
United Methodist Church, the Milliken Memorial
Community House or Camp Loucon through the
Petrie Memorial church.
RASTUS BELL
Rastus Bell, 80, of 431 Alvis St., died at 5:45 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Medical Center on Evansville.
He was a member of the Greater Norris Chapel Baptist Church and a member of St. John Lodge Number 4 and had been employed at Mann's ready to wear for about 37 years.
He is survived by his wife, Edna; one daughter Margaret Harwey, of Detroit, Mich.; one son, Rastus Jr. of Henderson; and four grandchildren.
