Miss Hattie Brame, of Carlisle, Ark., a nice of Mrs. H. A. Rogers, of this city, died in Arkansas this week, aged 20 years. She used to live in this county.

JOSEPH R. BRAME(Kentucky New Era) CADIZ, Ky. -- Joseph Robert "Bob" Brame, 90, Trigg County, died Wednesday, April 3, 2002, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center of natural causes.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Goodwin Funeral Home. Burial will be in Powell Cemetery, LaFayette. Visitation will be from 4 until 7 p.m. Friday with Masonic rites at 7 p.m.
A native of Bennettstown in Christian County, he was born Nov. 3, 1911, the son of Holman Southall and Robbie Hester Brame.
Early in life he taught in Lebanon and Howell. He farmed and was a rural letter carrier in the land between the rivers until his retirement in 1971. He also worked as a real estate broker and appraiser.
He was a World War II Army veteran who served in the Philippines and Japan. A conservationist, he established the largest tract of black walnut trees between the Allegheny Mountains and the Mississippi River. He was responsible for Trigg County's establishing school bus service for black children prior to school integration.
He was a member, elder, clerk of session and Sunday school teacher at the Newstead Presbyterian Church. He was a Mason and a member of the Shrine and Jesters. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled American Veterans and was a co-founder of the Trigg County Board of Realtors. His first wife, Atwood Davenport Brame, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Davenport Sanderson Brame; a son, J. Robert Brame III, Standardville, Va.; a stepdaughter, Gail Sanderson Kelly , Elon, N.C., and six grandchildren.

Mrs. Martha Brame, widow of the late Joseph C. Brame, departed this life yesterday at about 1 o'clock p.m.
She was a member of the old school Presbyterian church and a very exemplary woman, a kind friend and good neighbor of "the old school". She was a sister of the late Isaac Overly, of Charlotte county, Va., was far from all her relatives, but had the highest respect of the entire community. She was very old and very afflicted having fallen on the ice six and a half years ago while on a visit of condolence. She had never been able to walk anymore, though so afflicted herself she did all in her
power to lighten the burdens of others around her.
She was carefully attended by Mrs. John R. Rickerson during all of her affliction. She will be buried this evening at 3 o'clock. Rev. I.S. Jones will attend to the religious services.

brief illness.A native of Logan County, he was born Feb. 4,
1954, the son of the late James William and Ann
Anderson Brame.Survivors include his wife, Joanna Fallis Brame;
three sons, Gabriel John Brame, Hawaii, James
Michael Brame, Hopkinsville, Patrick Fallis
Brame, the home; a brother, John William Brame,
California; a sister, Mrs. Ronnie (Jeanie) Stokes,
Pembroke and one grandchild.

Oscar Brame, 105, Pennyrile Apartments, died Thursday at Jennie Stuart Medical Center following a brief illness.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Gainesville Baptist Church, with the Rev. Joseph Francis officiating. Burial will be in Cave Spring Cemetery.
A native of Hopkinsville, He was born Feb. 10 1893, the son of Ben and Sophia Brame. He was a retired farmer, coal miner and school bus driver and had worked for R.C. Owen Lumber Co. He was a member of Gainesville Baptist Church where he was a deacon and trustee. He was a member of the Ministers and Deacons Alliance. His wife, Alberta Wilson Brame preceded him in death.
Survivors include three sons Sam Brame, Cairo, Ill., Wesley Greenwade, California and Fred Brame, Pittsburg, Pa.; a daughter, Emma B. Lunsford, Fayetteville, N.C., 28 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
