ANNIE BELLE COOPER

Died at the residence of her parents, Annie Belle Cooper, on the evening of the 24th last, aged 20 months.
She was the youngest daughter of A.M. and Carrie Cooper, and her untimely death was a sad, sad one.
One Friday afternoon without her parents' knowledge, she got possession of a bottle containing creosote and drank some of this poisonous fluid. She lived twenty four hours afterwards. We are thus reminded of the brevity and uncertainty of life. Truly death lurks in every passing breeze, and his arrow is unerring. The language of Christ to Peter, "What I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter," should comfort all those who are crushed beneath the weight of sorrow and grief, for "God's ways are not our ways." To the grieved and heart broken parents we extend our kindest sympathy.
