Splendid Old Lady Dies On Donaldson
End Comes To Mrs. Tom Dixon Past Eighty Years Of Age
Mrs. Nancy Elizabeth Dixon, wife of the late J. Tom Dixon, died on January 16th at the family home on Donaldson creek after a lingering illness of some months due largely to the infirmities incident to old age, with other complications.
Mrs. Dixon was a Miss Fuller before her marriage and at the time of her death was eighty years, nine months and ten days of age. She was the mother of two daughters, Mrs. Henry Fuller and Mrs. Monroe Futrell, both of Trigg county. She was also the step mother of Jim and Ira Dixon, of Trigg county; Ben and Henry Dixon, of Calloway; Newt Dixon, of Paducah, and Harlan Dixon, of Princeton.
Mrs. Dixon had been a member of the Baptist church from early childhood. She was devoted to her church and the teachings and as a neighbor, friend, wife and mother always fully realized her duty and spent her life in doing for those near and dear to her.
In the presence of a large number of sorrowing friends and loved ones her remains were buried Monday at the family grave yard.
PEGGY SUE DIXONIn Memory of Peggy Sue Dixon
On the night of January 3, the dark angel of death visited the home of Mr and Mrs Terry Dixon, taking from them their darling baby, Peggy Sue, aged 5 months. She was sick seven days with pneumonia. God only knows how she suffered' but all was done that loving hands could do.
But God knew best, and took her to a better world to live with him. Weep not dear parents, she is only sleeping safely in the arms of Jesus. She has gone before to make Heaven nearer and dearer to you.
