One of Caldwell's Best Young Men Passes To The Great Beyond After Long Illness
The death of Charles Giles Dodds at his home, near Crider, last Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock was received here with much sorrow by his many friends.
His death was not unexpected, as he had been in wretched health for several years.
There was not a better liked or more deserving young man in Caldwell county than Charles Dodds, and his friends were numbered by his acquaintances.
He was in his twenty-sixth year and leaves a wife and a little daughter besides his parents and three brothers to mourn his death.

Claude Dodds Dead
After a long and lingering illness Claud Dodds died at the home of his father, W.F. Dodds, in the city early Wednesday
morning.
He was in his 28th year and was a member of White Sulphur Baptist Church.
He was the oldest son, and the third member of the family to die with the dreaded disease, consumption within the past three years.
His remains were laid to rest yesterday afternoon at White Sulphur in the presence of a large number of friends and relatives.
The bereaved family have the sympathy of their many friends.

The remains of Thomas Earl Dodds, son of Mr and Mrs Thomas Dodds, who died Tuesday at the Union hospital in West Frankfort, Illinois, were brought to this city Wednesday afternoon for interment at the Bethlehem cemetery in the Crider community, which took place yesterday afternoon.
The deceased was 16 years and 8 months and 10 days old, when claimed by death from peritonitis following an operation for appendicitis. Upon the arrival of the remains here, they were conveyed to the home of Mr. I.L. Traylor to await funeral and burial arrangements near Crider.
Mr and Mrs Dodds formerly resided at Crider and have the sincere sympathy of their old friends and neighbors in their Illinois home. Mrs. Dodds, the bereaved mother, was formerly Miss Lena Fox, who is remembered as a former popular and successful school teach of the county.
