Nell Calhoon Fort, 73, Cadiz, died at 7:20 a.m. friday at Pattie A. Clay Hospital, Richmond, following an illness.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuestay at Goodwin Funeral Home with the Revs. Jimmy Gentry and Andy Buckingham oficiating. Burial will follow in Adams Cemetery, Trigg County. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
A native of Trigg County, Fort was born July 26. 1924. She was the daughter of the late Tandy Clay and Mamie Frances Williams Calhoun, a retired clerk and member of Cadiz Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Willie Cowherd Fort Sr.; a son, the Rev. Willie "Bill" Cowherd Fort Jr., Richmond; a brother, Robert Lane Calhoun, Cadiz; two sisters, Georgie C. Rose and Ora Mae Thomas, both of Hopkinsville; and three grandchildren
