ANDREW L "PETE" JOHNSONUNIONTOWN, Ky. — Andrew L. “Pete” Johnson, 57, died of leukemia Monday, May
31, 1999, at his home.
He retired from the Navy.
Surviving are a daughter, Tammy Belt of Sturgis; a son, Scott Johnson of
Uniontown; three sisters, Ann Frost and Mary Fulkerson, both of Uniontown
and Betty Coker of Indianapolis; two brothers, Robert and Paul, both of
Uniontown; and four grandchildren.
His wife, Beverly, died in 1995.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Whitsell Funeral Home, with burial
in the City Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today and from 8
a.m. to service time at the funeral home.

Mason. He was preceded in death by his wife,
Hazel Johnson.Survivors include two stepchildren; a brother, J.B.
Johnson, Hopkinsville; and several
step-grandchildren.
DELIA JOHNSONDelia Johnson, colored, who cooks for Mr. J.S. Northington, near Garrettsburg, died suddenly Saturday night of heart disease.
She was apparently in fine health, and after preparing supper for the family shell fell dead in her tracks.

She also is survived by four sisters, Mrs. A. B. DALTON of Gastonia, N. C., Mrs. M. T. BRYANT of Dublin, Ga., Mrs. J. M. KITCHENS and Frances TERRY, both of Covington, Ga., nieces and nephews.

James Johnsons' Sudden death in Kirkmansville
Mr. James Johnson, a highly respected citizen of Kirkmansville, died suddenly at his home last Tuesday. He had been in his usual health, but on Tuesday morning complained of not feeling well and lyding down upon the bed expired in a very few minutes. The supposition is that heart trouble caused his death. He was about fifty years old and leaves a widow and several children.

"UNCLE LEVI" JOHNSON --- Died Sunday Afternoon at His Home In Mayfield---Buried In Trigg ---
"Uncle Levi" Johnson, until about two years ago one of the most prominent citizens of this county, died Sunday afternoon at his home in Mayfield, where he moved about two years ago. His remains were brought here on the noon train Monday and laid to rest in the old graveyard near P.T. Light's, seven miles west of here.
Those who accompanied his remains to this county were his wife, Mr. and Mrs. L.L. Johnson, jr., and Mr. Ira Randolph.
The following account of his death was taken from the Mayfield Messenger.
"Levi Louis Johnson, Sr., died at 12:45 o'clock Sunday afternoon after an illness of about three months of age and general debility. He moved here about two years ago from Trigg county and has been living on property which he purchased in Southwest Mayfield near Simpson's grocery. Since moving to the city he has been gardening and had made many friends in Mayfield. He was born in Trigg county and was 81 years, 1 month and 24 days old. He is survived by his wife and one son, L.L. Johnson, who lives in Mayfield"

Miss Maggie Johnson, daughter of Robert Johnson, died Tuesday after a lingering illness with consumption.
She had endured the affliction with Christian fortitude for many months, and was prepared for the end as only those who are sustained by a saving faith.

Mrs. Melvina Johnson, widow of the late Bert Johnson died at her home in Kirkmansville last Monday morning of fever. She was about forty years old and had been sick for six week. She leaves one child, a daughter twelve years old. Mrs. Johnson had for several years been a member of the Christian church and was held in the highest esteem by a host of friends. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday and the interment took place in the family burying ground near West union Church which is situated not far from Kirkmansville.
